III Competition 1966

Quotations

Finally, the vocalists, ended up by participating in the Moscow Competition for the first time. Young fresh voices of singers will be woven into the wreath of Tchaikovsky’s music, and each of them will bring a piece of the vocal culture of his nation to the competition. My father Fyodor Ivanovich Chaliapin loved the youth. If he lived to this day, to this festival of music, he would be happy!
