Photo Exhibition Dedicated to the International Tchaikovsky Competition to be displayed on Tverskoy Boulevard
On May 26, 2019, a photo exhibition dedicated to the history of the International Tchaikovsky Competition will be displayed on Tverskoy Boulevard, near the main building of the Russian News Agency TASS.
The photos presented in the exhibition will introduce the viewer to the winners, guests and jury members of the International Tchaikovsky Competition of the past years. The exhibition will highlight the events of the first four Competitions that have become history, from the I Competition (1958) to the IV Competition (1970), where jury members included such living legends as Maria Callas, and where Vladimir Krainev, Gidons Krēmers, Vladimir Spivakov, Elena Obraztsova and Tamara Sinyavskaya were participants.
The exhibition is organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the ROSCONCERT Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture with the support from the Government of Moscow, the Department of Culture of Moscow and the Russian News Agency TASS.
The photo exhibition will run until June 30, 2019.
