The results of the Second round of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition in the specialty Violin have been announced
According to the decision of the Jury’s members, the following violinists are qualified for the Third round:
Daniil Kogan (Russia)
Gyehee Kim (South Korea)
Yiying Jiang (China)
Elena Tarosyan (Russia)
Chaowen Luo (China)
Ravil Islyamov (Russia)
Jury have selected 2 of the best participants of the Second round that did not advance into the finals, to receive a diploma and a $1000.00 prize:
Michael Usov (Russia)
Inna Yakusheva (Russia)
2 of the best accompanists will be awarded a diploma and a $1000.00 prize:
Sholpan Barlykova (Russia)
Mariya Stembolskaya (Russia)
13 contestants participated in the Second round in the specialty Violin held from June 23 till June 24, 2023, at the Small Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The Third round of the competition’s auditions, where the contestants will be accompanied by an orchestra, starts on June 27.
