Laureates of the Tchaikovsky Competition will perform in the capital of Mauritius at concerts dedicated to 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On 9 and 11 May, Port Louis will host concerts featuring famous Russian performers, laureates of all-Russian and international competitions. The concerts are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
On 9 May, a sextet of soloists of the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble “Russia" named after Lyudmila Zykina will perform at the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Mauritius.
On 11 May, renowned Russian musicians will enter the stage of the Caudan Arts Centre: laureate of the 10th Tchaikovsky Competition Alexander Ghindin (piano), laureate of the 12th Tchaikovsky Competition Gaik Kazazyan (violin), laureate of the 15th Tchaikovsky Competition Alexander Ramm (cello) and winner of the Grand Prix of the 17th Tchaikovsky Competition Zinaida Tsarenko (mezzo-soprano).
Alexander Ramm: "For me, the most important thing is the occasion for which the concert is dedicated, and this is the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory! Despite the fact that I was born on May 9, I celebrate my birthday on another day, because Victory Day is a very important holiday for me. As for Mauritius, I have always dreamed of visiting this island, but with my busy schedule it is difficult to plan anything. However, Mauritius knocked on our door by itself, and I am going to play my favorite music in a place where I have never been and always dreamed of visiting!"
The events are held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Mauritius. Organizer – Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT.
