Denis Matsuev, Alexander Ramm and Semyon Salomatnikov will perform at “Sirius”
On 26 and 27 July, concerts within the framework of Crescendo musical project under the direction of Denis Matsuev will take place in the Krasnodar region, in the ”Sirius” federal territory.
Events of the Crescendo project at “Sirius” have become a tradition. This year, the virtuoso pianist will once again bring together famous musicians and young talented artists. The Crescendo program includes three events: chamber and jazz evenings, as well as a symphony orchestra performance.
On 26 July, the winner of the XI Tchaikovsky Competition Denis Matsuev will perform at the Medal Square of the Olympic Park along with the laureates of international competitions. The winner of the XV Tchaikovsky Competition Alexander Ramm (cello), the winner of the XVII Tchaikovsky Competition Semyon Salomatnikov (trumpet), Ekaterina Mochalova (domra), Stefania Pospehina (violin), Andrey Ivanov (double bass) will showcase their talents to the audience. The performance of the musicians will be accompanied by the Evgeny Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia under the baton of Dmitry Yurovsky.
The program includes works by Saint-Saëns, Massenet, Tchaikovsky, Arban and Gershwin. Denis Matsuev will play the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor.
On 27 July, the “Atom” Hall of the “Sirius” University, will host performances by Stefania Pospehina, Alexander Ramm and Denis Matsuev. The musicians will play the famous Piano Trio In Memory of the Great Artist by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
A jazz evening on 27 July will conclude the Crescendo project. Denis Matsuev together with the country's leading musicians will play famous jazz compositions and improvisations on classical themes at an open air venue in the heart of the Olympic Park.
This series of concerts will be held as part of the Sirius Grand Summer Music Festival.
