Vasily Stepanov and Leonid Zhelezny will perform in Khabarovsk and Blagoveshchensk

Within the framework of the project Series of Concerts of Laureates of All-Russian and International Competitions, on 12 and 14 October, winner of the special prize of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition, laureate of the III All-Russian Music Competition Leonid Zhelezny (violin), laureate of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition and IV All-Russian Music Competition Vasily Stepanov (cello), and laureate of the Rachmaninoff International Competition for Pianists, Composers and Musicians Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev (piano) will perform at the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic and at the Amur Regional Philharmonic respectively. The Far Eastern Symphony Orchestra will take part in the concert in Khabarovsk. The program will feature: Concerto for violin and orchestra in D major, op. 35 by P. Tchaikovsky; Symphony-Concerto in E minor for Cello and Orchestra, op. 125 by S. Prokofiev; Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 3 in D minor, op. 30 by S. Rachmaninoff. The concert program in Blagoveshchensk includes the following works: Elegiac Trio No. 1 in G minor for piano, violin and cello (1891), TN 34 by S. Rachmaninoff; Trio for piano, violin and cello No. 7 in B-flat major (1810-11), op. 97 by L. van Beethoven; Trio for piano, violin and cello No. 3 in C minor (1886), op. 101 by J. Brahms. The cultural project Series of Concerts of Laureates of All-Russian and International Competitions has been held since 2020 In 2024, the laureates' tours within the framework of the project have already taken place in Tambov, Maykop, Penza, Veliky Novgorod, Staraya Russa. The concerts were organized by ANO Cultural Life on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and with the support of the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution ROSCONCERT.
